Rev. Karen Van Fossan

Karen Van Fossan is honored to serve as our minister—a role she began in August of 2015 after graduating from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities that year. She has been a long-time member of our congregation.

Before joining us as our minister, she created books with survivors of childhood abuse, directed theater with teens in treatment, staffed a small animal sanctuary, and studied somatic counseling psychology at Naropa University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, as well as a proud foster mom and honorary grandma.

Music Director

Mark Kuntz

Mark grew up in Dickinson, North Dakota, and moved to Bismarck to attend the University of Mary in 2003, where he received his bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems.

Performing arts have been a lifelong passion for Mark, whether it's playing solo gigs around town, touring with a band, or appearing in local theater productions, he finds he is most fulfilled when he can express himself creatively. Mark is excited to bring his passion for music to this community in his new role here!

Karen Larrivee grew up in western North Dakota before moving to Minnesota to attend Concordia College. Upon graduating in 1983 with a BA degree in sociology and German, she and her husband moved to Minneapolis. In 1990 they returned to North Dakota and have since lived in Bismarck. They are blessed with 2 sons and one daughter.

Karen is enjoying her time as a member of the UU and is honored to work for the Fellowship.

Jeffon Seely was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, went to college in Seattle, WA, and currently lives in Bismarck, ND. He's an author, teacher, motivational speaker, life coach, and lover of family life.




Robyn Myers

Robyn Myers recently moved to Bismarck and is thrilled to be a part of our congregation. She served as a corporate accountant in previous years and enjoys taking on non-profit accounting.

She is an agility dog trainer, singer, and mother of two.




Communications Coordinator

Bobbie Crane

Bobbie Crane grew up in the Bismarck-Mandan UU Congregation and is thrilled to be helping the present congregation remotely.

Bobbie will be handling written communications such as e-blasts, Sunday Service scripts for facilitators, Sunday bulletins (and inserts), the weekly service information for the Tribune, our website and Facebook. She will also update and oversee the church data base/mailing lists; therefore, if you have phone number or address changes, please let Bobbie know.
